New Toy!

I got a new toy yesterday. The girls at Sur La Table got me a $100 gift card as a wedding present, and I had been wanting a food processor ever since I made the tropical carrot cake for the wedding. Done by hand, all of the chopping and grating can take over an hour. With a food processor, it takes 5 minutes. So yesterday we were headed to Kavitha’s for an “International Potluck,” so I decided to bake the carrot cake, but I didn’t want to spend over an hour chopping nuts and shredding carrots. A trip back to SLT (I suppose I could have picked up during my shift on Saturday), and we came home with this puppy:26. The KitchenAid 12 Cup Ultra Wide Mouth Feed Tube Food Processor. Why the KitchenAid instead of the Cuisinart? The main reason is that the KitchenAid has a 4 cup mini prep/chop bowl and blade that nests inside the main work bowl. I prefer the dual tasker. =) Anyway, it’s awesome, just wanted to share.
