The May Birthday Picnic
Yesterday marked the 5th anniversary of the Annual May Birthday Picnic, and the weather was fantastic. Joel came out from San Diego (ostensibly for work, but we all know why he was really here) and got a moon bounce, Christine made her famous mici, and I brought fire (and a bunch of chicken). We had about 60 or 70 people there, and everyone had a good time – especially in the moon bounce. Most of the pictures we posted are of the moon bounce – it was definitely more successful than the rock wall from two years ago.

I missed out. Trust me, I would have much rather be there than taking my car in for its inspection. Next year for sure!! :)
Melissa & Chad:
Hi. Thanks for the Mother’s Day call — it’s always great to catch up on what you two are doing. Before I forget — great pictures from the May picnic & your bike riding. And thank you for posting the pictures from our trip down South. Once in awhile we hopefully will have something to contribute (news or picture wise). Good luck on Wednesday with the State’s diplomatic security interview — though you won’t need it, they’ll love you! I’m sure Chad will enjoy Arizona better in May than in June or July. Since work, etc. is so busy for you I’m sure the time will go by fast.
Guess that is all for now. Take care.
Love, Beth & Carl
