I do Bikram Yoga – named after the guy who came up with the brilliant idea of practicing yoga in a room set at a temperature of approximately 105 F. Right now, I only go once a week, but I wish I could go every other day, because I really enjoy it. Yes, you read that right, I enjoy spending 90 minutes of my evenings in a 105 F room doing yoga and sweating a lot. I like feeling like I’m getting a whole lot of junk out of my system, and I like the challenge. Maybe one of these posts I’ll go into the experience a little bit more, but I just want to share something I noticed last night that makes me feel really go about myself: I’m one of the few people who push through the countdown. Last night during bow pose, the instructor did a little 3 second countdown. I could see everyone behind me start to come out of posture with 2 seconds to go. I held the full pose until 0. Go me!
